How to recognise an infestation
- Black, rice-grain droppings along walls and behind furniture.
- Scratching noises in suspended ceilings or partition walls, mostly at night.
- Gnawed packaging, cables or skirting boards, with parallel tooth marks.
- Greasy rub marks along skirting boards, left by the animals' fur.
Why waiting costs more
Rodents contaminate food stock and transmit leptospirosis and salmonellosis. They also gnaw electrical conduit: the fire risk is real, and it is one of the most common exclusion grounds in commercial insurance policies.
